West Special Collections and Archives and Digital Initiatives department curated a variety of photographs and documents regarding presidential inaugurations and related festivities of past presidents. The collection includes photographs and documents for presidents Jon Fleming, Jerry Bawcom, Jake Schrum, Hal Jeffcoat, and Fred Slabach.
A digital companion piece to an exhibition held at the Bernice Coulter Templeton Art Studio from October 5 to December 17 2021. Mary Apple was an artist and art professor at Texas Wesleyan University. The physical exhibit featured a variety of color and black-and-white prints created by Apple during her lifetime.
The exhibit features pieces in the university's permanent art collection that were part of the 2020 virtual alumni event, TXWES Behind the Scenes: The Permanent Art Collection. A wide variety of mediums and styles were selected to highlight the collection’s range. The use of texture, color, and/or the lack thereof conveys the artistic expression and imagery that is unique to each artist.
