Harold G. Jeffcoat

2000-2010

Harold G. Jeffcoat served as the 18th President of Texas Wesleyan University from 2000-2011. His inauguration was held on September 28 2001 and Steven C. Beering gave the inaugural address. Beering was the President Emeritus at Purdue University. 

He received his Bachelors and Masters of Arts degrees from University of South Florida. He received his Doctor of Education from the University of Kentucky in 1994 and Master of Laws degree from the University of Leicester in 2000. Jeffcoat's career in higher education included serving as a faculty member Baker University, the Honors College at the University of Missouri, and founding director and director emeritus of the European Union Center, one of the ten academic research centers at the time established by the European Commission in the United States. As administrator, he managed institutional advancement programs at Purdue University and University of South Florida.
